Do you know about the Ajira digital program? Please learn more here. The Ajira Digital Program is an initiative by the Kenyan government driven by the Ministry of ICT, Innovations and Youth Affairs. It was launched in 2016 by H.E Uhuru Kenyatta. The program is aiming at empowering over one million young people to access digital job opportunities.

Program Objectives

1. Raise the profile of digital work;

2.Promote a mentorship and collaborative learning approach to finding digital work

3.Provide Kenyans with access to digital work, and

4. Promote Kenya as a destination for online workers.

How to book an Ajira virtual training Class

  • Visit https://ajiradigital.go.ke/#/register and fill your details.
  • Make sure you confirm/verify your email and phone number.
  • Make sure you update profile by adding photo, education, contact details and employment details if any to make sure your profile reaches at least 60%.
  • On the left side of the dashboard, click my trainings it opens another section.
  • At the center, click Available trainings
  • Choose a category you want to be trained on then click Book now then click Confirm. Do not book the class which is written fully booked.

Ø  NB//A single book will have a pair of 2 days, so if you book Monday, your virtual class will end on Tuesday, if you book on Wednesday, your class will end on Thursday.

Ø  You are advised to book a class of the category you are interested in and the date you will be available.

Ø  The link for the class will be sent to your email before the day of the training. It will be a zoom link, therefore, you will be required to download a zoom application from the Google play store if you are using a phone, for laptop users download zoom application from the browser.
